A Case of Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans Developing in an Old Burn Scar



Abstract
Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans ( DFSP) is an uncommon, raised, fibrous tumor - of the skin characterized by amarked tendency to recur locally. infrequent metas-¢¥tasis and difficulty of histologic diagnosis.
There are several cases reporting origin of this tumor in a previous burn or surgical scar raised the question of a causal relationship.
The authors report a case of DFSP, developed in an old burn scar of a 58 yearold man. There was no evidence of metastasis.
